Please note our new booking policy means that you may now book up to 13 days in advance as of 12:00 Noon – Rolling daily but with a maximum of 3 bookings per day and 12 bookings in total over a 13 day period – This includes your slots to use the main building.
  1. Costs of land based classes?
  1. The pricing structure of land based group exercise classes is as follows:

    Non-Members – £7.25 Per Class
    Members – INCLUDED within Membership*

*Members with a valid Full Time or Off Peak membership can attend any group exercise class at any time, pending they abide by the booking procedures, booking terms & conditions and are attending a class within the permitable hours of their membership category, without additional charge. A grace period of 30 minutes after the normal permitable membership end time, will be given to Off Peak members. Users on 20/10 entries do not receive classes as part of their pass entitlement and must pay any non-members fee to attend.
  1. Payment of Classes
  1. Payment of ALL classes MUST be made at the time of booking.  We will not hold spaces until payment is made.  Payment can be made either in person at the main club reception or when booking over the phone.

Payment options available are: Cash / Debit, Credit Card / Gift Vouchers / Wye Leisure Credit. To make bookings easier for regular participants who are not members, credit may be added to an account to which any fees payable can be automatically taken by our admin staff at the time of booking.  This would allow non-members to add their names whilst in attendance at a current class to the booking sheet for the following week, and not have to visit the main club reception to make any payments.

For further details, please speak with duty reception staff or contact us by email at: info@wyeleisure.com

  1. How do I set up the WyeFitness App?
  1. Any member wishing to use the Wye Fitness App to Book and/or Manage classes will need to make sure we have given the correct privileges to undertake.  The simplest way to do this is to call us on 01432 860860 and we can talk you through the setup.  In the meantime if you are not already using the App, you can download the Wye Fitness App by Clicking one of the links below:

    Apple store
    Android – Google play store

PLEASE DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT – WE WILL SEND A LINK TO YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS TO UNDERTAKE THIS AS PART OF THE SETTING UP PROCESS.

  1. I’ve never attended a class before, does this matter?
  1. This is not an issue in any way!

We welcome customers to ALL classes whom have never been before and/or never been to any exercise class before!  We would rather you let us know at the time of booking, so we can add a memo to the class you will be coming to, as this will enable us to inform the trainer.   Our trainers then can make sure you get the attention you require before, during and after the class, hopefully making a great impression and leaving you ready to come back for further classes.

Additionally, we will be running some “boot-camp” style classes.  Again, we can let you know when the start week is to enable you to join the class at the right time!

  1. Do I need to bring any equipment with me?
  1. In General we would advise that you wear items of clothing that are going to be able to let you move freely, allow your body to breath and not get too hot and most importantly be comfortable.

Foot wear for all classes involving the use of free weights, or objects that could be dropped from height, should be based around a trainer and cover the entire foot – If in doubt, bring a few options with you to your first class and ask the instructor.

Most importantly – Don’t forget a drink and a towel!
  1. What should I wear to the class?
  1. There should be no need to bring any equipment with you to any class, Wye Leisure will provide everything.  However, as you progress in your ability and depending on the class type, you may wish to purchase your own equipment for convieniance.

We have no issues if participants wish to bring their own; mats, rollers, heart rate transmitters etc, just don’t forget to take them home with you when you finish!

We would advise that all participants (no matter what class) bring ample drinking water.  Water fountains are positioned in each studio to re-fill bottles
  1. Where do we report / go to?
  1. Classes being undertaken in Studio 1 or Studio 2 will be in the main studio building.  Access to this building is NOT via the main club reception, but has its own separate entrance from the car park.  The main  door into the building will open 5 minutes prior to any class start time, unless another class is in progress (If the lights are on in the lobby area, the building is open).  If you are booked onto the class you can report directly to the trainer within the appropriate studio, there is no need to visit the main club first.

Aqua Aerobics classes are normally taken in either Pool 1 or Pool 2 inside the main club building.  Entrance should be gained via the turnstiles at reception and you should report to the trainer in the relevant pool.  Please feel free to ask a member of staff if you are unsure which pool you will be in.
  1. Start Times of Classes
  1. Each trainer will set their routine to include a warm up at the start of each class.  It is our policy that if a sufficient duration of this warm up has been missed, that the trainer must refuse admission to the class even if participants have called us to inform of a delay.  At such time your place within the class may have been passed onto someone waiting and may be classed as a “no-show”.
  1. My Health and Readiness to Participate in a Class
  1. Any new participant to any class MUST complete our Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ).  This questionnaire tells our trainers about your physical ability to undertake a class and if deemed appropriate we will tell you if there are any reservations to suitability and/or if you may need to seek advice from your GP before attending or if you may need to undertake a slightly different routine during the class.

It may be the case that individual instructors may wish you to complete their own questionnaires.  This is encouraged by Wye Leisure to ensure each instructor has a good understanding of the participants they are teaching.
